What I have learned from trading

The moment I start to accept the uncertainties in my life, I am able to move on. As a matter of fact, nothing is certain in life, be it relationship, wealth, career etc. What I’ve learned from recent migration experience is to accept the fact, and always be prepared to deal with sudden change in life.

We need a plan. No doubt. But life is not always operating perfectly according to your plan. You might meet good people, you might face craps in your job, office assholes etc. You might strike a lottery, who knows? So, plan to adjust your plan to fit into the current situation. Abandon the plan if the big picture has changed. Be prepared to have a new plan.

What else? Widened the bandwidth of your plan. Accept the fluctuation/noise of life. As a trader, I look at long term trend and plan my trades. That’s what happen in life. Ignore the minors, small crappy situations of life, carry on with our plan if the long term trend is still intact.

Well, what else? Move on.
